Homeschool Career Exploration: Forensics at Lake County Crime Lab In-Person
Have you ever wondered how crimes in Lake County are solved? Did you know that Lake County is one of the handful of counties in the State of Ohio that has its very own crime lab? Founded in 1973 with a staff of just two (2) scientists, the laboratory now employs fourteen (14) people and has evolved into an internationally accredited facility utilizing state-of-the-art technology to analyze over 1300 cases per year. A tour of the facility will give you a behind the scenes look at the laboratory, the types of testing that takes place and how the laboratory helps keep members of Lake County safe.

Per Lake County Crime Lab Policies: All tour attendees must be at least 16 years old. Due to the maximum tour capacity of 11 people, we ask that parents please make alternative arrangements during the tour timeframe.
